Often, projects vie for existing ugliest kitchen award, and this one had the top position for a few years. The new kitchen was central to their needs, but changing the flow created a better atmosphere. More than one visitor asked if they had widened their hallway (they didn't) and the way the kids moved around the house changed from that overused hall to a circular pattern.  Exterior Renovation and interior main floor renovation included opening the main floor and connecting the spaces to their private back yard with an island kitchen, drinks counter, den, office, a stair from the basement to the side-yard, a full bath and laundry.
