It all started with two cooks wanting a really nice kitchen that included a double sink, an icemaker, a drinks fridge and a plumbed espresso maker.   Then, rather than adding a shed roof, they chose a more modern flat roof, which gave the room the height that makes this addition so surprising.  The 1/2 + mud area with lockers at the back entry and an additional bedroom with bath + laundry on the 2nd floor make this renovation work well for their family.
